Embutido 소시지

Uña y carne, jamón y tocino

: (직역) Nail and meat, ham and bacon.

: Inseparable, two peas in a pod, best friends forever

: 떨어질 수 없는, 항상 붙어 다니는, 몹시 친한, 실과 바늘 같은

 

✒️ Rafa y Antonio se pasan el día juntos. Son como uña y carne, jamón y tocino.

→ Rafa and Antonio spend the whole day together. They are like meat and nails, ham and bacon.

→ 라파와 안토니오는 함께 하루를 보낸다. 그들은 실과 바늘 같다.

uña: nf. nail, claw, fingernail
tocino: nm. bacon

 

¡Que te den morcilla!

: (직역) Let them give you blood sausage!

: To settle a conversation that has irritated us.

: 죽일 놈!, 뒈질 놈!, 될 대로 되라지! 그에게 화가 나거나 짜증이 날 때 사용

 

✒️ Mi jefe me ha pedido que trabaje el día de Noche Buena que además es domingo. ¡Que le den morcilla!

→ My boss has asked me to work on Christmas Eve, which is also a Sunday. To hell with him!

→ 내 상사는 크리스마스 이브에 일하라고 했다. 게다가 그날은 일요일이다. 뒈질 놈!

Noche Buena: Chrismas Eve 크리스마스이브
además: ad. also, besides, furthermore, moreover, additionally
Es demasiado pronto para dormir; además, no estoy cansado. It is too early to sleep; besides, I am not tired.
El nuevo robot puede leer y, además, puede hablar. The new robot can read and, furthermore, it can speak.
Las manzanas son deliciosas y, además, son muy buenas para tu salud. Apples are delicious and, moreover, great for your health.
Me gusta nadar y, además, hacer yoga. I like swimming and, additionally, doing yoga.
morcilla: black pudding, blood pudding, 순대, 소시지, (대본에 없는) 즉흥적인 대사

 

Leche 우유

Encima de la leche, nada eches.

: (직역) On top of the milk, add nothing.

: Don't eat anything else after a glass of milk.

: 잠자리에 들기 전에 우유가 마지막이어야 한다는 내용이다. 다른 것을 마시면 소화에 문제를 유발하므로.

 

✒️ 👨 Para cenar tomaré un vaso de leche con galletas y algo de fruta.

      👧 Mejor al revés: encima de la leche, nada eches.

→  👨 For dinner I'll have a glass of milk with cookies and some fruit.
      👧 Better the other way around: on top of the milk, nothing on top of it.

→ 저녁으로 나는 쿠키, 과일과 함께 우유를 마실 거야.

     음. 반대로, 우유 외에는 아무것도 먹지 않는 것이 좋아.

cenar: v. have dinner
Podemos cenar pizza esta noche, aunque preferiría pasta. → We can have pizza for dinner tonight, though I'd prefer pasta.
Ayer cenamos y después vimos la televisión. → Yesterday we had dinner and watched television after.
galleta: nf. cookie, cracker, biscuit
revés: nm. reverse, reversal, setback, opposite
al revés = inverted, backward, the other way round
El sello se encontraba en el revés del certificado. The seal was on the reverse of the certificate.
Tras muchos reveses, finalmente llegamos a la cima. After many reversals, we finally reached the summit.

 

Blanco y en botella.

: (직역) White and bottled.

: Obvious, very clear or evident. It's a plain as day. 

: 분명한, 매우 확실한

 

✒️Miriam ha llegado tarde todo el mes a trabajar y los jefes la han citado esta tarde. Blanco y en botella.

→ Miriam has been late to work every day this month and the bosses have called her in this afternoon. It's obvious.

→ 미리암은 이번 달에 매일 지각을 했다. 그녀의 상사는 오후에 그녀를 불렀다. 확실하다.

citar: v. subpoena, summon, 소환하다, 호출하다
El juez citó a un testigo a declarar ante el tribunal. The judge subpoenaed a witness to testify before the court.
La jueza citó a los testigos para que prestaran declaración. The judge summoned the witnesses to give their testimony.

 

Pan 빵

A falta de pan, buenas son tortas.

: (직역) In the absence of bread, cakes are good.

: It's a good idea to make do with what you have.

: 빵이 없다면 케이크도 괜찮다. → 궁여지책, 주어진 상황에서 방책을 마련하다.

 

✒️ No hemos conseguido mesa en el restaurante que queríamos, pero dicen que podemos pedir la comida para llevar. A falta de pan, buenas son tortas.

→ We haven't gotten a table in the restaurant we wanted, but they say we can order the food to go. In the absence of bread, cakes are good.

→ 우리가 원했던 식당의 테이블을 잡지 못했다. 그래서 우린 테이크아웃을 주문했다. 나름 방법을 찾았다. 

conseguir: v. achieve, obtain, find, attain, gain, win, realize
Hemos conseguido estupendos resultados este año. → We have achieved great results this year.
Conseguí la información que necesitaba. → I obtained the information I needed.
Conseguí los muebles que necesitábamos en el almacén. → I found the furniture we needed in the warehouse.
El inventor consiguió fama mundial con su máquina. → The inventor gained worldwide fame with his machine.

 

Al pan, pan y al vino, vino

: (직역) To the bread, bread and to the wine, wine.

: Honesty; need to speak sincerely, without detours; speaking directly

: 사실대로 말하다. 바른대로 불다. 자기 생각을 그대로(숨김없이) 말하다.

 

✒️ Martín tendría que practicar más horas con la guitarra si quiere entrar en el conservatorio. Al pan, pan y al vino, vino.

→  Martín would have to practice the guitar for more hours if he wants to get into the conservatory. Call a spade a spade.

El pintor practicó una nueva técnica. → The painter tried a new technique.
guitarra: nf. guitar
Compré un estuche nuevo para llevar mi guitarra. → I bought a new case for carrying my guitar.

 

Al pan de quince días, hambre de tres semanas, A buen hambre no hay pan duro.

: (직역) To bread for fifteen days, hunger for three weeks., To good hunger there is no hard bread

: In the face of extreme difficulty, you have to adapt to whatever it is. Beggars can't be choosers.

: 시장이 반찬이다. 배고플 때 못 먹을 빵이 없다. → 상황이 어려울 때에는 원하는 것을 모두 얻을 수 없으며 불편을 감수하고 주어지는 것을 받아야 한다는 의미

 

✒️ Como no me puedo permitir pagar el viaje de fin de curso, el director de mi instituto me ha ofrecido trabajar durante el viaje como su ayudante. A buen hambre no hay pan duro.

→ Since I can't afford to pay for the end-of-year trip, the director of my high school has offered me to work as his assistant during the trip. No hard bread for a hungry man.

→ 나는 연말 여행을 갈 돈이 없었기 때문에, 나의 고등학교 선생님은 여행기간에 그의 조수로 일할 것을 제안했다. 달리 방도가 없어서 받아들여야만 했다. 

permitir: v. allow, enable, permit, allow for
El dinero del premio me permitió viajar alrededor del mundo. → The prize money allowed me to travel around the world.
El nuevo software me permite trabajar desde casa. → The new software enables me to work from home.
El hotel permite a todos los huéspedes usar la piscina. → The hotel permits all guests to use the swimming pool.
ayudante: nf/nm. assistant, helper 

 

Dios le da pan a quien no tiene dientes.

: (직역) God gives bread to those who have no teeth.

: This is an ironic allusion to those who cannot enjoy the benefits they receive.

: 신은 이빨이 없는 이들에게 빵을 주었다. → 받은 혜택을 누릴 수 없는 사람들을 묘사하는 암시적 표현

 

✒️ A mi tío le han regalado una cesta llena de chocolate y bombones belgas, pero es diabético.

→ My uncle has been given a basket full of chocolate and Belgian chocolates, but he is diabetic.

→ 나의 삼촌은 초콜릿과 벨기안 초콜릿으로 가득 찬 바구니를 선물 받았다. 그러나 그는 당뇨가 있다. 

🤔 이 예문에는 위에 제시된 관용 표현이 없다. 이러한 상황을 나타내는 표현으로 여기고 넘어가자.

regalar: v. give
Mi esposo me regaló un collar por mi cumpleaños. → My husband gave me a necklace for my birthday.
cesta: nf. basket, hamper
Agarré la cesta por el asa. → I grabbed the basket by its handle.
Llevé una cesta llena de tentempiés al pícnic. → I took a hamper full of snacks to the picnic.

 

Ni mesa sin pan, ni ejército sin capitán.

: (직역) No table without bread, no army without a captain.

: There are things that are essential.

: 없어서는 안 되는 무언가를 묘사할 때 사용

 

✒️ No celebraré la fiesta si tú no puedes venir. Ni mesa sin pan, ni ejército sin capitán.

→ I won't celebrate the party if you can't come. Neither table without bread, nor army without captain.

→ 네가 오지 않는다면 나는 파티를 기념하지 않을 것이다. 빵 없는 식탁은 없고, 캡틴 없는 군대도 없다.

ejército: nm. army, military
El ejército necesita nuevos reclutas. → The army needs new recruits.

 

Ser pan comido.

: To be a piece of cake, be very easy.

: 식은 죽 먹기이다.

 

✒️ En el trabajo me han pedido que les haga una aplicación para apuntar las vacaciones de todos los trabajadores. Es pan comido.

→ At work they have asked me to make an application to record vacations for all workers. It's a piece of cake.

→ 직장에서 그들은 나에게 모든 근로자들의 휴가를 기록하기 위한 신청서를 작성해 달라고 요청했다. 식은 죽 먹기였다.

aplicación: nf. application, implementation, enforcement, appliance
Me descargué una aplicación que ajusta el tamaño de mis fotos. → I downloaded an application that resizes my photos.
La aplicación de contabilidad interactúa con la base de datos. → The accounting application interfaces with the database.
La aplicación de la nueva política fue muy rápida. → The implementation of the new policy was very quick.
Un equipo de expertos evaluará la aplicación de las nuevas políticas. → A team of experts will assess the enforcement of the new policies.
apuntar: v. aim (at), point, prompt, write down, record
El arquero apuntó al blanco y disparó su flecha.  →The archer aimed at the target and released his arrow.
El actor olvidó su frase, pero el director lo apuntó. → The actor forgot his line, but the director prompted him.

 

Ser más largo que un día sin pan

: (직역) To be longer than a day without bread

: Last a long time.

: 오랫동안 지속되다.

 

✒️ La versión extendida de esa película es más larga que un día sin pan.

→ The extended version of that movie is longer than a day without bread.

→ 그 영화의 확장 버전은 매우 길었다. 

extendido: a. extended, spread, widespread, prevalent
l uso de las redes sociales está extendido. → The use of social media is widespread.
Trabajar desde casa está cada vez más extendido.  →Working from home is becoming more and more prevalent.

 

그 외 아침식사에 대한 관용 표현

Y con esto y un bizcocho, hasta mañana a las ocho

: (직역) And with this and a biscuit, see you tomorrow at eight o'clock.

: When enough has been done for one day or to dismiss a situation.

: 스페인에서 하루를 마치며 헤어지는 인사를 하는 일상적 표현

 

✒️ He respondido a todos los emails, he terminado de escribir el  informe que me pidieron y he recogido el escritorio.  Con esto y un bizcocho, hasta mañana a las ocho.

→ I have answered all the emails, I have finished writing the report they asked me for, and I have cleaned up my desk. With this and a cookie, I'll see you tomorrow at eight.

→ 나는 모든 이메일에 답장을 했다. 그들이 요청한 보고서도 끝내고 나는 책상을 정리했다. 

informe: nm. statement, review, report
El auditor revisó las cuentas y redactó un informe. → The auditor reviewed the accounts and drew up a statement.
recoger: v. collect, pick, pick sb./sth. up, reap, gather
El grupo de voluntarios recoge comida para los pobres. → The volunteer group collects food for the poor.
Debo recoger los libros que le presté a mi prima. → I need to pick up the books I lent my cousin.
Finalmente, hemos recogido los frutos del esfuerzo. → Finally, we reaped the fruits of our efforts.
El niño recogió flores para su madre. → The child gathered flowers for his mother.

 

El agua clara y el chocolate espeso.

: (직역) The water is clear and the chocolate is thick.

: You have to speak clearly and honestly.

: 명료하고 솔직하게 이야기해야 하는 상황을 표현

 

✒️Carmen tiene muy buena visión espacial pero nunca hace los deberes de dibujo técnico. Así no aprobará la asignatura. El agua clara y el chocolate espeso.

→ Carmen has great spatial awareness but she never does her homework for technical drawing. That's why she won't pass the course. Just to be clear.

→ 카르멘은 공간 지각 능력이 굉장히 좋다. 그러나 그녀는 그림 숙제는 전혀 하지 않는다. 이런 식으로는 그녀는 그 과정을 통과하지 못할 것이다. 솔직하게 말했다.

espacial: a. spatial
dibujo: nm. drawing, depiction 묘사, picture, design
Hice un dibujo antes de crear la escultura real. I made a drawing before creating the real sculpture.
El libro contiene dibujos de varios tipos de peces. The book contains depictions of various kinds of fish.
