스페인어 관용 표현 expresión idiomática, 공원 단어

스페인어 독학 5개월 차에 접어들었습니다. 8월부터 관용 표현을 공부하고 정리 중입니다. 모두 한 번에 익힐 수 없지만 이렇게 한 번 정리를 하고 생각날 때마다 반복해서 보려고 합니다. 공원에서 접할 수 있는 단어가 사용된 관용 표현을 Lingolia에 있는 것을 기준으로 정리했습니다.

오리, pato

▶ ser un pato/ser patoso

: being clumsy, be awkward

: 서투른, 세련되지 못한, 민첩하지 못하거나, 어설프거나, 세련되지 못한 사람을 묘사할 때 사용

✒️ No le des la porcelana a Raúl porque es un patoso y la romperá. → Don't give the china to Raul because he is a duck and will break it.

그 도자기를 라울에게 주지 마라. 그는 서툴러서 그걸 깨뜨리고 말거다.

pato: duck 오리
patoso: a. clumsy, troublesome, (사람이) 둔한, 어색한, 하찮은, 시시한, 서툰
romperá: v. break, crack, burst, smash, break up
Accidentalmente rompí un plato mientras lo lavaba. → I accidentally broke a plate while washing it.
Mi hermana y su novio rompieron después de dos años juntos. → My sister and her boyfriend broke up after two years together.

 

 

▶ pagar el pato

: carry the can, receive the punishment without being the guilty.

: (특히 자기 잘못이 아닌 일에 대해) 책임을 지다.

✒️ Si te dejo el ordenador de María y lo rompes, me tocará a mi pagar el pato. → If I leave Maria's computer with you and you break it, it will have to face the consequnces.

ordenador: nm. computer
Los primeros ordenadores eran muy lentos y voluminosos. → The first computers were very slow and bulky.
tocar: v. touch, play, feel sth, perform, tap, blow
Tienes que tocar la pantalla para iniciar el juego. → You need to touch the screen to start the game.
Estoy aprendiendo a tocar el piano. → I am learning to play piano.
Toqué la arena con las manos. → I felt the sand with my hands.

 

물고기, pez

▶ ser un pez gordo

: to be an important one, be a big shot

: 거물이 되다, 중요한 것이 되다, 무언가 결정을 하는, 지배력을 가진 사람이나 조직을 의미한다. 

✒️ Los peces gordos de las empresas energéticas controlan los precios del mercado. → The big fish of the energy companies control the market prices.

거물급 에너지 회사들은 시장에서 에너지의 가격을 지배한다. 

gordo: a. fat, big, greasy, plump
Mi hijo solía ser gordo, pero ahora ha perdido peso. → My son used to be fat, but now he has lost weight.
Mi tío estaba un poco gordo, así que decidió perder peso. → My uncle was a little plump, so he decided to lose weight.
energético: a. energy, energetic
La crisis energética = the energy crisis

 

벤치, banco

▶ ¡Vaya tres patas pa’ un banco.

: (직역) What a three legs for a stool.

: What a mess of a combination

: 어렵고 혼란스러운 상황을 묘사할 때 사용하는 표현이다. 

✒️ Ninguno de nuestros hijos es capaz de estar en silencio. ¡Vaya tres patas pa’ un banco! → None of our children is capable of being silent. What a three legs for a stool!

우리 아이들의 어느 누구도 조용히 하지 않는다. 정신 사납다!

silencio: nm. silence, quiet, mute
Mi padre rompió el silencio incómodo con un chiste. → My father broke the awkward silence with a joke. 
Los excursionistas amaban la paz y el silencio del campo.  →The hikers loved the peace and quiet of the countryside.
en silencio = speechless, in silence, silently
pata: nf. leg, foot
Las arañas tienen ocho patas. → Spiders have eight legs.
El caballo tenía herraduras en las patas. →  The horse had horseshoes on its feet.

 

길, camino

▶ allanar el camino

: (직역) smooth the way

: make something easier

: 길을 평평하게 하다. 무언가를 쉽게 만들다. 길을 안내하다.

✒️ Si me ordenas los documentos, me allanarás el camino para encontrar lo que busco. → If you sort the documents for me, you will pave the way for me to find what I am looking for.

그 문서들을 분류해 주면, 내가 찾고 있는 것을 찾기 쉬울 것이다.

allanar: v. smooth (out), even
El constructor allanó la parcela de tierra para construir una casa. → The builder evened the plot of land to build a house.
buscar: v. look (for), search, want, investigate
Después de graduarme, empezaré a buscar trabajo. → After graduating, I will start looking for work.
Busqué en todas partes, pero no pude encontrar mis llaves. → I searched everywhere, but I could not find my keys.

 

 

▶ todos los caminos llevan/conducen a Roma

: (직역) all roads lead to Rome

: a problem can be solved in several ways

: 어떤 문제든 해결할 방법이 있다. 

✒️ Da igual si llamas, escribes o vas a la taquilla para reservar tu plaza. Al final todos los caminos conducirán a Roma. → It doesn't matter if you call, write or go to the ticket office to reserve your place. In the end all roads lead to Rome.

네가 전화를 하든, 메일을 쓰든, 매표소로 직접 가든 예약하는 것은 똑같다. 무엇이든 결국 예약을 할 수 있다. 

conducir: v. drive, conduct, carry, ride, handle
Mi hermana prefiere conducir automóviles automáticos. → My sister prefers to drive automatic cars.
Todos los metales conducen la electricidad. → All metals conduct electricity.

 

기타 공원 관련 단어

▶ meterse en un jardín 

: (직역) getting into a garden

: getting into trouble unnecessarily

: 복잡한 상황에 불필요하게 얽히다.

✒️ No hables ni de fútbol, ni de política, ni de religión y así no te meterás en un jardín. → Don't talk about soccer, politics or religion and you won't get into a garden

축구, 정치, 종교에 대해 말하지 마라. 그러면 불필요하게 복잡한 상황에 얽히게 된다. 

meterse: v. get involved in, enter sth. engage in, intrude, interfere, jump in
🤔 meterse 동사는 다양한 의미로 사용된다. 무언가에 들어가서, 참여, 시작, 개입을 하는 의미로 사용된다. 
después de comer siempre se mete en el despacho → after lunch she always goes into her study or shuts herself away in her study
Nunca me meto en los asuntos privados de otras personas. → I never interfere in other people's private matters.
el río se mete en el mar → the river flows into the sea

 

 

▶ (no) es un jardín de rosas

: (직역) (not) a garden of roses

: something is (not) easy

: 영어로는 "a bed of roses"로 표현할 수 있고, 쉽거나 기쁜 상황을 의미한다.

✒️ Encontrar un empleo fue difícil, pero ya sabía que mudarme de país no sería un jardín de rosas. → Finding a job was difficult, but I already knew that moving to another country would not be a bed of roses.

직업을 구하는 것은 어렵다. 그러나 나는 다른 나라로 이주하는 것이 쉽지 않다는 것을 이미 알고 있다. 

empleo: nm. employment, use, job, work, usage
El tema principal del debate fue el empleo juvenil. → The main subject of the discussion was youth employment.
Está permitido el empleo de calculadoras durante el examen. → The use of calculators is allowed during the test.
La nueva empresa creó muchos empleos.  →The new enterprise created many jobs.

 

 

▶ pisar buena/mala hierba  

: (직역) to step on good/poor grass

: being in a good or bad mood

: 누군가가 기분이 나쁘다/좋다를 표현한다. 또는 그가 행동을 나쁘게 한다, 좋게 한다.

✒️ Los lunes por la mañana nuestro jefe siempre anda pisando mala hierba. → On Monday mornings our boss is always stepping on bad grass.

매주 월요일 아침에 우리 보스는 항상 기분이 나쁘다. 

pisar: v. tread, foot, step, depress(누르다), press
Pronto estaré pisando la suave arena blanca en la playa. → Soon, I will be treading the soft white sand on the beach.
Pisé el barro y mis zapatos se ensuciaron. → I stepped in mud and my shoes got dirty.
Para ir más rápido, hay que pisar el pedal del acelerador. → To speed up, you have to depress the accelerator pedal.
