스페인어 관용 표현 idiomática, 계절 04 - 여름, Verano

여름과 관련된 단어가 사용되어 관용적으로 사용되는 표현들입니다. 태양 Sol이 사용된 표현이 4개나 되네요. 그 외에는 그늘 sombra, 8월 agosto, 파도 ola, 여름의 폭풍 tormenta de verano 가 사용된 표현들을 정리했습니다. 조금만 생각해 보면 이해를 할 수 있습니다.

태양, Sol

▶ ser un sol

: being a good person

: 좋은 사람이다.

✒️ Luis ha montado todos los muebles de mi cocina. Es un sol. → Luis has assembled all the furniture in my kitchen. He is a sunshine.

루이스는 우리 집 주방의 모든 가구들을 설치해 주었다. 그는 참 좋은 사람이다.

María es un sol, siempre tan agradable → María is a darling, she’s always so pleasant

마리아는 사랑스럼 사람이다. 언제나 매우 상냥하다.
el niño es un sol → he’s a lovely child

그 아이는 사랑스럽다.

montar: nm. assemble, put together, ride, 조립하다. 설치하다. (탈것에) 타다, 오르다
mueble: nm. piece of furniture, car
conica: nf. kitchen, cooker, cooking, cuisine

 

 

▶ hacer algo de sol a sol

: do something without a break

: 쉬지 않고 무언가를 하다.

✒️ He estado estudiando de sol a sol.  → I have been studying from sun up to sun down.

나는 쉬지 않고 계속 공부를 하고 있다.

hacer: v. do, make, perform
Hacer obras de caridad es algo verdaderamente noble. → Doing charity work is something thoroughly noble.
→ 자선 활동을 하는 것은 진짜 고귀한 것이다.

 

 

▶ arrimarse al sol que más calienta

: to get close to someone out of convenience

:  강자에게 들러붙다. 든든한 사람에게 기대다.

✒️ No te fíes de Juan, siempre se arrima al sol que más calienta. → Don't trust Juan, he always goes to the hottest sun.

후안을 믿지 마라!, 그는 항상 강자에게 들러붙는다.

arrimarse: v. come nearer, snuggle, cuddle up with, 가까이 다가가다.
arrímate un poco más a la pared → get a little nearer to the wall
calentar: v. heat (up), warm (up) 
Mi madre calentó la cena en el horno. →  My mother heated dinner in the oven.

 

▶ no dejar a alguien ni a sol ni a sombra

: always stay by your side, not leave you alone for one minute.

: 항상 누군가의 곁에 있다. 

✒️ El patito me persigue a todos lados. No me deja ni a sol ni a sombra. → The duckling chases me everywhere. He won't leave me for one minute.

그 새끼오리는 어디든 나를 따라다닌다. 잠시도 나를 떠나지 않는다.

sombra: nf. shadow, shade
Un sauce puede proyectar una sombra enorme. → A willow tree can cast a big shadow.
Me encanta sentarme al sol, pero mi hermana prefiere sentarse a la sombra.  
→ I love sitting in the sun, but my sister prefers to sit in the shade.
perseguir: v. pursue, chase, seek
Las dos compañías persiguen un objetivo común. → The two companies pursue a common goal.
La niña persiguió a su gato alrededor de la casa. → The girl chased her cat around the house.

▶ estar a la sombra (de alguien)

: to be in the background

: → 누군가의 보호 아래에 있다. 누군가의 지배아래에 있다.

✒️ El hijo fue un buen artista pero siempre estuvo a la sombra de su padre. → The son was a good artist but was always in his father's shadow.

그의 아들은 정말 좋은 아티스트이다. 하지만 그는 항상 그의 아버지의 보호 아래에 있다.

 

 

▶ hacer el agosto

: to make a lot of money

: 돈을 많이 벌다

✒️ Gracias al festival de primavera, los comercios de la zona han hecho el agosto. → Thanks to the spring festival, local businesses have made a killing.

봄 축제 덕분에 그 지역의 상인들은 돈을 많이 벌었다.

✒️ Los vendedores de helados hacen el agosto en verano. (The ice cream sellers make a lot of money in summer.)
✒️ El gobierno hizo su agosto con la venta de armas. (The government made a lot of profit with the sale of weapons.)

comercio: nm. trade, commerce, business, market, shop
El comercio internacional permite un intercambio de bienes más amplio. → International trade enables a wider exchange of goods.
Apoyo el comercio local para ayudar a mi comunidad. → I support local commerce to help my community.

 

▶ hacer la ola

: to rejoice a lot, do the wave 

: 파도를 만들다. 매우 기뻐하다.

✒️ Cuando vea el viaje que hemos ganado, Clara va a hacer la ola. → When she sees the trip we have won, Clara is going to do the wave.

클라라는 우리가 얻은 여행을 보았을 때 매우 기뻐했다.

ola: nf. wave, outbreak
El nuevo impuesto provocó una ola de protestas. → The new tax caused an outbreak of protests.

 

▶ tormenta de verano

: something that happens very quickly

: 매우 빠르게 지나가는 것

✒️ Durante un tiempo las empresas fueron competencia pero simplemente fue una tormenta de verano. Ahora vuelven a hacer negocios juntas. → For a while the companies were competitors but it was just a summer storm. Now they are back in business together.

회사들은 한동안 경쟁자였지만, 그건 한여름의 폭풍처럼 빠르게 지나갔다. 지금은 함께 사업을 한다.

tormenta: nf. storm, thunderstorm
La tormenta llenó la alcantarilla de agua.  →The storm filled the drain with water.
Mi hermano llegó a casa a salvo después de la tormenta. → My brother arrived home safe after the storm.
volver: v. return, go back, come tack, turn
Mi hermano volvió a casa después de dos años en el extranjero. → My brother returned home after two years abroad.
Los niños juegan durante el recreo y luego vuelven a clase.  →Kids play during recess and then go back to class.
