Una de las lecciones más importantes que aprendí durante la cuarentena es que las peluquerías y las barberías ofrecen un servicio muy valioso que a veces infravaloramos. Después de dos meses sin poder cortarme el pelo, no veía la hora de ir al peluquero.

 

Lamentablemente el periodo de confinamiento seguía prolongándose y en medio de mi desesperación tomé la decisión de cortarme el pelo yo mismo. ¡Craso error!; después de pasar la máquina por mi cabeza un par de veces me di cuenta de que me había metido en un berenjenal.

 

Ya os podéis imaginar como quedé, quería que me tragara la tierra. Pero bueno, a lo hecho, pecho, así que cuando salía de casa a hacer la compra me ponía una gorra para que nadie viera mi “hermoso” corte de cabello. Tuve que esperar dos interminables semanas hasta que por fin abrieran las peluquerías y las barberías.

 

Yo fui uno de los primeros en llamar para pedir cita. Afortunadamente mi barbero me dio cita para el día siguiente y pude ir a que me arreglara el corte de cabello. Al llegar a la barbería me quité la gorra, y cuando el barbero me vio soltó una carcajada que me avergonzó por completo.

 

Luego me dijo que no me preocupara pues no era el único que había hecho tal cosa durante la cuarentena. En fin, como dicen por ahí, mal de muchos, consuelo de tontos. El barbero hizo un excelente trabajo y al terminar quedé muy satisfecho. Qué alivio poder salir a la calle con mi peinado habitual y sin llevar la gorra encima.

위의 문장은 조건절에 접속법을 사용함. 말하는 사람이 주관적인 추측을 하는 상황

confinamiento: nm. confinement, lockdown, isolation
Se extienden los confinamientos y restricciones para intentar frenar la curva de esta segunda ola. (The lockdowns and restrictions are being extended in an attempt to flatten the curve of this second wave.)

seguía prolongándose: prongar가 메인 동사이고, seguir 동사는 과거에 지속되었다는 것을 표현하는 것임. 시제는 불완료과거로 표현을 해야 하는데 seguir 동사의 불완료과거형에 prolongar의 진행형인 prolongando가 사용되었고, 목적격대명사 se가 prolongar 뒤에 붙었다.

prolongar: v. extend, prolong, protract, sustain
El usuario puede cambiar los ajustes para prolongar la duración de la batería. (The user can change the settings to extend the battery life.)

pedir (una) cita: to book an appointment 약속을 하다.
Debo llamar a pedir cita con mi odontólogo. (I should call to make an appointment with my dentist.)

afortunadamente: fortunately, luckily, thankfully
Esto, afortunadamente, ha empezado a cambiar con el movimiento de los jóvenes por el clima. (다행히, 기후를 위한 이 운동은 젊은 사람들의 활동과 함께 변화하기 시작했다.) 🤥 앞 뒤 내용이 없는 문장이라서 맥락을 잘 모르겠다. 일단 기후와 관련된 내용의 글에서 뽑은 예문으로 가정했다. 

cita: nf. appointment, quote, date, quotation, citation
Me gustaría pedir una cita con mi dentista. (I would like to make an appointment with my dentist.)
Le envié un aviso justo antes de su cita en el dentista. (I sent him a reminder just before his dentist appointment.)

Cuando me di cuenta de que no había sido yo la única persona estafada, sentí un poco de alivio. Como dicen por ahí, mal de muchos, consuelo de tontos. (When I realized that I was not the only one who had been scammed, I felt a little relief. As they say, the devil is the devil's own comfort.)

Qué alivio! = What a relief, 참 다행이다! 안심이다! 이제 살았다?!
No estoy acostumbrada a usar zapatos de tacón alto, qué alivio siento cuando llego a casa y me los puedo quitar. (하이힐을 신는 데 익숙하지 않은데 집에 돌아와서 하이힐을 벗을 수 있게 되니 얼마나 안심이 되는지 몰라요.)
¡Qué alivio saber que no te pasó nada en ese accidente! (그 사고로 아무 일도 일어나지 않았다는 사실이 얼마나 다행인지 몰라요!)
