¿No os pasa a veces que hacer lo correcto se convierte en algo muy difícil?, especialmente cuando hablamos de dinero. Por lo general es fácil, pero si la cosa involucra algo de pasta, ahí es cuando nos aprieta el zapato. El otro día, como de costumbre, iba caminando por la calle de camino a casa, cuando de repente sentí que tropecé con algo como ya era tarde y estaba oscuro no podía ver bien qué era, pero al agacharme me di cuenta de que se trataba de una billetera.
Como no había nadie cerca decidí que la llevaría a casa para tratar de averiguar quién era el dueño. Al llegar tomé la billetera y lo primero que noté fue lo ruesa que era, supuse de inmediato que tendría muchas tarjetas y papeles, pero al abrirla…
¡oh sorpresa!, había más de mil euros en efectivo y varios documentos importantes. Fue en ese momento que me sentí tentado a actuar de forma incorrecta, pensé en devolver la billetera con los documentos y quedarme con el dineroñ al fin y al cabo, me decía a mí mosmo, la suerte de unos es la desgracia de otros.
Pero entonces me acordé de aquella vez en la que fui yo quien perdió la billetera y aunque también tenía algo de efectivo en ella, la señora que la encontró me la devolvió tal cual. Así que recapacité, y aprovechando que en una de las tarjetas estaba el número del dueño, le contacté telefónicamente y concretamos una cita para devolverle su billetera.
No os imagináis la cara de felicidad de aquel hombre, se notaba que lo había pasado muy mal, quería incluso recompensarme con una parte del dinero, pero le dije que se lo quedarañ para mí fue suficiente sentir que había hecho lo correcto, pues como dicen por ahí, hoy por ti, mañana por mí.
