La vez pasada os conté una historia en donde decidí hacer lo correcto; lamentablemente no siempre es así, a veces se me cruzan los cables y termino metiendo la pata. El sábado pasado, decidí ir a visitar a unos amigos porque hacía mucho tiempo que no les veía; la verdad es que estaba aburrido y tenía ganas de socializar un poco. 

 

El tema es que, por estos días, a causa de la pandemia, no está permitido hacer este tipo de visitas. En todo caso, antes de ir a su casa les llamé y les pregunté si estaban de acuerdo con nuestro encuentro furtivo, a lo cual respondieron que sí y que les parecía una idea estupenda. 

 

Salí en mi coche a eso de las seis de la tarde, la idea era estar con ellos solo un par de horas y volver a casa antes de las diez de la noche, pues había toque de queda. El reencuentro estuvo genial; cotilleamos, nos tomamos unas cañas y lo pasamos muy bien, pero el tiempo se nos pasó volando y cuando nos dimos cuenta ya eran pasadas las diez de la noche. 

 

Rápidamente me despedí y me puse en marcha; pensé que no habría ningún problema pues mi casa está a tan solo diez minutos en coche de la suya. Por desgracia para mí, a mitad de camino había un control de policía, no hace falta que os cuente el resto de la historia;

 

Me multaron porque en la prueba de alcoholemia superé ligeramente el límite permitido y además por incumplir el toque de queda. Así que bueno, aprendí una lección a las malas y no tengo derecho a quejarme pues yo mismo me lo busqué al romper las reglas establecidas por la ley.

los cables는 은유적으로 사람의 신경이나 생각을 나타낸다. 이 관용표현은 어떤 사람이 혼란스럽거나 뒤죽박죽이 돼서 예상치 못한 행동이나 통제가 안 되는 행동을 하게 되는 상황을 표현한다.

meter la pata: to put one's foot in it / to make a blunder / to make a faux pas / to mess thing up, 실수하다, 망치다

Metí la pata llamándola por el nombre de mi ex. (I made a bundler by calling her by my ex's name.)
Si te hubieras callado no habrías metido la pata. (Had you shut up youu wouldn't have put your foot in it.)

hacía mucho tiempo que no les veía: 그들을 본 지 매우 오래되었었다. 
hacía와 que 절의 veía 모두 불완료과거 형태로 사용되었다. 말하고 있는 시점보다 과거에 있었던 상황을 표현하고 있다.  단순과거가 아닌 불완료과거를 쓴 이유는? 음.. 그 생각을 했던 시점에도 그들을 못 보고 시간이 계속 지속되고 있었기 때문에 불완료과거를 사용한 것이 아닌가 한다. (100% 본인의 추측)

furtivo: a. furtive, 은밀한, 남몰래하는, (illegal) 밀렵의 / n. poacher 밀렵꾼
Echó una mirada furtiva hacia la habitación al pasar. (He cast a furtive glance toward the room as he walked past.)
Un pescador furtivo fue sorprendido en una zona protegida. (A poacher was caught unawares fishing in a protected area.)

a lo cual:  🤔 to which로 볼 수 있는데, lo cual은 앞의 문장을 받고 있다. 앞의 문장은 은밀하게 만나자고 물어본 것이다. 그들이 나의 제안에 동의했다는 내용이 이어진다.

reencuentro: nm. reunion, 재회, 재발견
Los amigos de la universidad escogieron un bar del centro para su reencuentro. (The friends chose a bar downtown for their college reunion.)

🤔 주절은 단순과거 pensé이고 종속절은 haber 동사의 가정미래 시제(조건법)이다. 과거 생각을 한 그 시점을 기준으로 미래의 시점을 추측/가정을 하고 있다.

[ES] me multaron porque en la prueba de alcoholemia superé ligeramente el límite permitido y además por incumplir el toque de queda. Así que bueno, aprendí una lección a las malas y no tengo derecho a quejarme pues yo mismo me lo busqué al romper las reglas establecidas por la ley.

[EN] I was fined because in the breathalyzer test I was slightly over the allowed limit and also for breaking the curfew. So, well, I learned a lesson the hard way and I have no right to complain because I brought it on myself by breaking the rules established by law.
