Nunca te has preguntado ¿qué pasaría si te tocara la lotería? ¿cómo sería tu vida si de repente fueras millonario? A menudo oímos de personas famosas que, aunque tienen todo el dinero del mundo, llevan una vida caótica y triste. Esa es la gente que nos demuestra que el dinero no lo es todo en esta vida y que no garantiza la felicidad.

 

Pero bueno, supongamos que tú gozas de buena salud, que tienes una familia preciosa, que disfrutas mucho de tu trabajo y que en términos generales ya eres una persona feliz. ¿Qué pasaría si te volvieras rico de la noche a la mañana? Algunas de las preguntas más obvias que se te pueden pasar por lamente son:

 

¿qué me compraría? ¿a dónde viajaría?, ¿en dónde viviría? En fin, ¡hay tantas posibilidades! No obstante, a mí personalmente, las preguntas que me causan más curiosidad son las menos obvias. Por ejemplo, me pregunto si el dinero me haría cambiar la forma en que me relaciono con mi familia, amigos y conocidos;

 

También me pregunto si estaría dispuesto a ayudar a otros o si me enfocaría solo en mí y mis intereses personales, o si en vez de vivir tranquilo estaría estresado por todas las responsabilidades y afanes que la riqueza conlleva.

 

En fin, ya sé que es absurdo pensar en estas cosas, pero no he podido evitarlo pues estoy aquí haciendo fila para comprar un billete de lotería y, pues como dicen por ahí, soñar no cuesta nada. ¿Quién sabe?, a lo mejor tengo suerte este año y me toca el gordo de Navidad.

demostrar: v. demonstrate, show, prove, display

gozar de buena salud: to be in (to enjoy of) good health
Aunque mi abuelo tiene ochenta años, aun goza de buena salud. (Although my grandfather is 80 years old, he is still in good health.)
Si quieres gozar de buena salud cuando seas mayor, debes empezar a cuidarte desde joven. (If you want to enjoy of good health when you are old, you have to start taking care of yourself when you are young.)

gozar: v. (take pleasure) enjoy oneself
Gozamos mucho en la fiesta. (We enjoyed ourselves a lot at the party.)
We enjoyed the view from the top of the mountain. (Gozamos la vista desde la cima de la montaña.)

disfrutar: vi. enjoy, have,  자동사로 전치사 de와 함께 사용된다. 그런데 사전에 타동사도 있다. 
RAE 사전을 보면, 목적어 그 자체를 즐기는 경우는 de 없이 타동사로, 목적어를 tener 하는 의미일 경우 de와 함께 자동사로 사용되는 것 같다. 
RAE의 disfrutar
Disfrutar la buena comida.
Disfrutar de excelente salud, destreza, estimación, etc.
Disfruto de pasar tiempo con mi familia. (I enjoy spending time with my family.)
Algunos miembros puede que no disfruten de todas las ventajas enumeradas. (Some members may not have all the benefits listed.)

volviera: si 조건절에서 접속법 불완료과거형으로 사용되었다. 현실적으로 불가능한 상황에 대한 가정이다. 
volver: v. return, come back, do again(with "a"), turn
volverse: vr. become, get
Andrés se volvió un poco difícil durante la adolescencia. (Andres became a little difficult in adolescence.)
Te has vuelto flaquito desde que comenzaste la dieta. (You've gotten skinny since you started the diet.)

de la noche a la mañana: overnight
No vas a aprender español de la noche a la mañana. (You are not going to learn Spanish overnight.)
No es posible perder 20 kilos de la noche a la mañana. (It isn't possible to lose 20 kilos overnight.)
El éxito no se alcanza de la noche a la mañana. (Success is not achieved overnight.)

pasarse (algo) por la mente: (something) to cross your mind
(= pasarse (algo) por la cabeza)
Espero que ni se te pase por la mente llamar a tu ex. (I hope it doesn't even cross your mind to call your ex.)
Tengo que admitir que por un momento se me pasó por la mente llamar a la policia. (I got to admit that for a moment it crossed my mind calling the police.)

causarle curiosidad: to make someone curious
(= darle/generarle curiosidad)
Me causa curiosidad saber quién es tu nuevo novio. (It makes me curious to know who your new boyfriend is.)
Me genera curiosidad saber lo que piensas de mí. (It makes me curious to know what you think about me.)
Me da curiosidad conocer otras culturas y religiones. (It makes me curious to know other culture and religions.)

relacionarse: vr. (to be friendly with) mix, have contat, (to be linked) be related, be connected
Ellos no se relacionan mucho con sus vecinos. (They don't mix very much with their neighbors.)
